Chamber choir "Atžalynas" captured the hearts of the audience

In 2023 on the evening of December 27, The solemn concert "Silent Christmas Night" was held in the Šiauliai Church of Ignacas Lojola, which was presented by the Šiauliai Cultural Center Chamber Choir "Atžalynas" (artistic director M. Žalalis), which has been active for more than three decades. The trio "Pasteliniai garsai" and percussionist Gintautas Gascevičius enriched the concert, brought even more life and colors. The gathered audience showered each performed piece with loud ovations and went home elated, full of positive emotions.

On the last Wednesday of this year, the Šiauliai Culture Center's chamber choir "Atžalynas" (artistic director Mindaugas Žalalis) organized a traditional concert "Silent Christmas Night". Festive concert was held in the in Šiauliai St. Ignacas Lojola Church for a reason - "Atžalynas" began its journey as a choir of this church, so it is symbolic that the festive concert was also held here.

Lovers of choral music had a unique opportunity to enjoy solemn music and songs given by Šiauliai Culture Center chamber choir "Atžalynas" (artistic director Mindaugas Žalalis), the concert was enriched by the talented trio "Pasteliniai garsai" (Eglė Žalalienė (soprano), Jūratė Rastaitienė (flute) and Irina Tautkuvienė (piano). A pleasant surprise awaited the gathered audience - percussionist Gintautas Gascevičius.

The concert began with the majestic music of the flute, followed by the well-known carols and songs of the Christmas season. Magnificent, professionally executed works told about kindness, joy, light, angels, baby Jesus Christ and other symbols characteristic of this period.

In the church, the music sounded noble and solemn, so it is hoped that the concert did not leave the listeners indifferent and inspired them with new, undiscovered experiences.
