Wednesday evening in Šiauliai was accompanied by a whirlwind of wild dances

In 2024 February 7 An evening of folk dances was held in the cultural center of Šiauliai. During the event, a sense of community was created by remembering the most famous folk dances, which moved not only the cheerful youth, but also the older people. Surrounded by live music, the Šiauliai Cultural Center was soon filled with wild dancing and laughter of the participants.

On Wednesday evening, the entertainment hall "Maksas" of the Šiauliai Cultural Center turned into a real dance floor. Both small and large fans of folk dance gathered here, who shared the joy of movement not only with each other, but also with people who did not dare to move.

The evening of folk dances started with a fun frenzy, because the first dance did not leave anyone indifferent. All the guests in the hall rushed to the dance floor and started the evening. A well-known dance, it invited you to spin and didn't let you breathe for a minute with its crazy rhythm.

Throughout the evening, the festive mood and rhythm were given to the dances by the always energetic "Vieversėlis" children's and youth folklore ensemble of the Šiauliai School of Music School (conducted by Arūnas Stankus), accompanied by guests Lina and Albertas Bartašiai, Donatas Statkevičius and Arūnas Vaičelis.

For the first year now, the evening of folk dances held at the Šiauliai Cultural Center reminded the people of Šiauliai and the guests of the city of the rich heritage of the Lithuanian people, and the choreography that has survived to this day allows you to enjoy not only the variety of steps, but also games, good mood or the search for a suitable couple.
