Creative Camp “A Mosaic of Crafts”

From June 15–19, 2026, the Šiauliai Cultural Center invites children aged 7–12 to spend their time creatively and meaningfully at the creative camp “A Mosaic of Crafts”!

During the camp, children will not only make new friends, but also develop their artistic abilities through a variety of creative activities.

In craft workshops, participants will explore different artistic techniques: modelling with clay, creating unique bags using textile markers, making mosaics, discovering glass art, and taking part in STEAM activities. Each creation will become a unique and personal artistic experience.

Children will also enjoy educational trips to the Povilas Višinskis Public Library of Šiauliai County. At the Graphics Centre, they will create their own personal ex libris, while in the virtual room “Virtual Reality Wonders” they will experience an adventure full of exciting impressions.

During breaks, together with leaders of the amateur art groups of the Šiauliai Cultural Center, children will play creative games, dance, act, and sing, unlocking their creativity.

Inga Širvienė, artistic director of the Choreography Studio Impresija, will invite children to energetic dance sessions where they can move freely and enjoy a positive atmosphere.

Arūnas Stankus, artistic director of the folklore ensemble Folklore Ensemble Vijolė, will introduce children to Lithuanian folk traditions, teach old folk games, traditional circle dances, and musical rhythm exercises.

Virginijus Dargis, artistic director of the adult amateur theatre Amateur Theatre Durys, will gather children for theatrical fun. During the activities, children will feel like real actors – performing on stage, learning the basics of stage speech and public speaking, practising articulation exercises, and participating in improvisational voice training games.

The camp will take place from June 15–19, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Camp fee – €200 (5 days, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack at the café Juonė pastuogė, all materials, and excursions included).
