Invitation to Submit Information on Events Planned for the Christmas and New Year Period

The Christmas season in Šiauliai is a time when the city is filled not only with festive anticipation, but also with a variety of cultural, community and other meaningful activities. During this period, residents and visitors to the city are invited to concerts, performances, exhibitions, guided tours, educational activities, campaigns and various initiatives organised by cultural, educational, tourism and sports institutions, non-governmental organisations, businesses and communities.

The beginning of the festive season in Šiauliai is traditionally marked by the lighting of the city’s main Christmas tree in Resurrection Square. This year, the event will take place on 5 December. The programme will feature an artistic performance and a festive concert, while the evening will culminate in the lighting of the city’s main Christmas decoration.

The Šiauliai Cultural Centre, coordinating the preparation of joint information on festive-season initiatives, kindly invites you to submit information about planned events, exhibitions, campaigns and other initiatives so that together we can create a diverse Christmas programme filled with warm gatherings, meaningful experiences and festive spirit.

A comprehensive programme of festive-season events taking place from 1 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 will be published online. Events and other initiatives corresponding to the festive theme and intended for the general public and tourists will be selected for inclusion in the printed programme. Information about them will be published on posters, in brochures and announcements.

Please submit information about your events by completing the online event registration form: https://forms.gle/FnsBh7G1mLwfnLSJ6

Please submit your information by 6 October 2026. Information received after this deadline will be published only in the online festive programme.
