On the Medical Workers Day – a gift from Šiauliai artists to doctors
On Monday, April 27, Šiauliai residents celebrated the Medical Workers' Day. In order to thank the medics for their hard, responsible and dedicated work, Šiauliai City Municipality organized a congratulatory campaign, during which medics “were gifted with culture through the window”, and handed over half a hundred certificates of gratitude from Šiauliai Mayor Artūras Visockas to the most dedicated employees.
The campaign was implemented in five health care institutions of Šiauliai city. Medical staff were invited to open the windows of their offices and enjoy the show. Actors from Šiauliai State Drama Theater, musicians Laura Remeikienė and Agnė Michalenkovaitė, Rolandas Janušas, Vadimas, Jūratė and Sofija Kamrazeriai, as well as Rasa and Kęstutis Stoškai, members of the band “Kitava”, together with Vaidotas Katutis, thanked the medics for their advice, understanding and help by performing songs.
The medical staff watched the artists' performances through the windows and accompanied them with abundant applause, good mood and wide smiles.
The coordinators of the campaign were Šiauliai Cultural Centre and Šiauliai State Drama Theater.
