Šiauliai Cultural Center traditionally invites you to a birthday party on July 13th, 2023!

The open-air event will surprise you with a cozy atmosphere, a never-before-seen Kristupas festival program concert in Šiauliai, a picnic, a photo exhibition, big outdoor games, a commemorative photo for each guest and, of course, a birthday cake.

The performers of the concert "Date in La La Land" are the nominee of the prestigious Opus Klassik award IEVA DŪDAITĖ (piano), singer MARIJA DŪDAITĖ (vocals).

As you settle in, you'll be surrounded by a host of award-winning creations. When they play, you'll be transported to ''La La Land''.

What is ''La La Land''? That's what Los Angeles or Hollywood is called. It is also said that this is a fantastic state, a dream world. It is also a movie that won 6 Oscars, 7 Golden Globes and many other awards. For one evening, the green space of Šiauliai will turn into it, when pianist Ieva Dūdaitė will take the stage.

Inspired by the soundtracks of the movie hits "La La Land" and "A Star is Born", the singer will recreate the most beautiful and sensitive moments of these films with the sounds of the piano.
The pianist admits that when "City of Stars", "A Lovely Night", "Shallow", "I'll Never Love Again" and other fantastic melodies sound, not only the listeners' heart will beat faster, but also her own heart: "I was collecting works, whose emotions are like a roller coaster. We have all ridden them, building relationships, pursuing dreams. The theme of La La Land is close to me and to everyone - about people chasing their dreams.

Meanwhile, "A Star Is Born" is about addiction and the supernatural, transformative, romantic power of music. When listening to the music of these films, it seems that many of the songs have been in my head for a long time - they are so close and recognizable. It's not for nothing that it immediately became a classic..."
