Balčiūnas, 2024), “Sisters” (N-13) (dir. L. Bareiša, 2024), and “Gardutė” (dir. E. Vertelytė, 2024). The evening will be hosted by actress Emilija Latėnaitė.

Screening schedule:

9:00–9:23 p.m.“Sujip” (dir. Gintarė Parulytė, prod. Greta Akcijonaitė, Vincent Quénault, Jeanne Geiben, Greta Garbo Films)
It’s Aleksandra’s first day at a new job. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary office, but when the phone rings, she hears Pijus on the other end, admitting he wants to end his life. She soon realizes it’s a suicide prevention helpline. What begins as an awkward call gradually turns into a heartfelt conversation between two peers.

9:23–9:38 p.m.“After Passing Napoleon’s Hat” (dir. Arnas Balčiūnas, prod. Augustė Puteikytė, LMTA KIMO)
A son picks up his father from a psychiatric hospital and takes him home to his grandparents. The father tries to reconnect with his son, but the son, like the grandparents, remains distant. They spend the day together.

9:38–11:06 p.m.“Sisters” (dir. Laurynas Bareiša, prod. Klementina Remeikaitė, Afterschool, co-producer Matiss Kaza)
A hot summer. Justė and Ernesta’s families arrive at a countryside home for a peaceful weekend. Ernesta’s husband has just celebrated a win in the martial arts ring – now it’s time to relax. Everything seems typical: a lake, music, a terrace with a grill, basketball, and small talk about loans and the future. But cracks begin to show – beneath the idyllic exterior are unspoken feelings, jealousy, and rivalry. As time passes, the gathering takes an unexpected turn. What was meant to be a calm weekend becomes something much more...

11:06 p.m.–12:54 a.m.“Gardutė” (dir. Eglė Vertelytė, prod. Lukas Trimonis)
The first Lithuanian culinary comedy “Gardutė” is a humorous story about two friends who join a high-end cooking reality show. Enthusiastic country girl Saulė and shy single mom Ona are passionate cooks stuck working at the Kaunas canteen “Gardutė”. One day, without Ona’s consent, Saulė enters them into a TV cooking competition where the grand prize is their own restaurant. Saulė lies to the judges, claiming they are trained chefs from the fictional “La Gardutė” restaurant. Though initially seen as a joke, their simple but excellent dishes win over audiences. But despite their success, tension between the friends begins to rise.
