Experiential gong session at the Šiauliai Cultural Center

On the afternoon of March 14, people hurried to the Šiauliai Cultural Center carrying yoga mats, as a special experience awaited them in the “Maksas” entertainment hall – an experiential gong sound journey inviting them, at least for a moment, to pause, step away from daily rush, and immerse themselves in inner silence.

Experiential gongs are a journey of sacred sound vibrations for the whole human being. During this session, subtle sound waves affect the physical, energetic, and mental body – helping to harmonize it, cleanse the consciousness, and expand the limits of perception. It is a space where one can relax, align with their inner center, and experience a state of peace.

During the sound journey, the hall was filled with the sounds of various instruments – gongs, Tibetan and crystal bowls, a monochord, a drum, a Native American love flute, shurti, and many other archaic and sacred-sounding instruments. During the session, participants lay on their backs with their eyes closed – such a state allows the body to relax most deeply and receive the healing effect of sound. In a state of calm, thoughts settle, stress decreases, and in deep relaxation answers to pressing questions often arise, while the energy of body and mind is restored.

The sound session was led by sound practitioner Artūras Arti. In 2017, he obtained a sound practitioner certificate and since then has been leading experiential sound journeys with gongs and other archaic instruments in various spaces across Lithuania. Artūras is a multiple-time participant of seminars and sound therapy trainings organized by “Menas Būti” and the “Baltic Gong Camp,” continuously deepening his knowledge about the impact of sound therapy on humans.

That afternoon, the “Maksas” entertainment hall turned into a cozy space of sound and tranquility, where everyone could pause for a moment, listen to themselves, and allow the vibrations of sound to lead them into a state of harmony and inner balance.
