“Amatų marginys” brought together young creators for spring holidays

During the spring holidays, the Šiauliai Cultural Center traditionally invited children aged 7–12 to embark on a creative, playful, and meaningful adventure – the creativity camp “Amatų marginys.” The camp, held from March 30 to April 3, 2026, became a true space of inspiration, friendship, and discovery of traditions, where each day was full of new experiences and insights.

On the first day, dedicated to new friendships, children got to know each other, created name badges, and immediately immersed themselves in creativity during the educational sessions “The Story of Clay and Paper” and “Patterns of the Circle,” where they sculpted, decorated, wove, and created their first works.

On Tuesday, dedicated to creating Easter decorations, participants took part in the sessions “Clay Form” and “Painting Easter Eggs,” worked with clay, decorated 3D eggs, and further lifted their spirits with the fun game “Egg Fishing.”

On Wednesday, the day of jokes and fun, children created lively toys in the educational activity “Olyziukas,” and in the session “A Card for Mom and a Magnet for Dad,” they made warm, handmade gifts for their loved ones.

Thursday was devoted to ancestral traditions – during the sessions “Making Verba Bouquets” and “Painting on Fabric Bags,” children not only learned about Lithuanian heritage but also created works inspired by these traditions.

On the final day, during the farewell celebration, participants joined the activity “Little Bunnies,” creating cozy symbols from yarn, while the fun escape room challenge “Egg Code: Unlock Easter” became the highlight of the week’s adventures. The camp concluded with the awarding of certificates and warm goodbyes.

“Amatų marginys” is not just a camp, but a space where friendships are formed, creativity unfolds, and traditions are nurtured. Here, every child had the opportunity to create, grow, discover, and learn, returning home full of impressions and memories that will last for a long time.
