On April 29, 2026, at 6 p.m., a concert dedicated to International Dance Day titled “Wings of Kindness” will take place at the Great Concert Hall of the Šiauliai Cultural Center (Aušros Ave. 31). The event will bring together dancers of various ages and invite the audience to immerse themselves in an evening full of movement, music, and kindness. The organizers hope that this celebration will inspire the community to further appreciate dance as a universal language capable of uniting people and spreading positive emotions.
Organizer – Šiauliai Cultural Center. The event is free of charge.

International Dance Day is celebrated worldwide on April 29. It was established in 1982 on the initiative of the UNESCO International Theatre Institute to honor the art of dance, its creators, and to highlight the importance of dance in culture and society. This day encourages people to discover dance as a form of self-expression that strengthens community, creativity, and emotional connection between individuals. In Šiauliai, this day will be celebrated by inviting the community to gather for the shared dance celebration “Wings of Kindness.”

On April 29 at 6 p.m., the stage of the Šiauliai Cultural Center will host a large number of dance groups from the city – from the youngest performers taking their first steps on stage to experienced youth groups. The audience will see a wide palette of dance styles: classical ballet, contemporary, modern, and folk dance, presented by: the Šiauliai Cultural Center choreography studio “Aušrelė” (art directors M. Kosaitis, V. Adomėnaitė-Butnorienė), dance studio “My Ballet Place” (leader I. Kušleikaitė), the Šiauliai Art School modern dance studio “Dance Mix” (teacher M.
