Jury Announced for the 19th International Dance Festival-Competition “Aušrinė Star”

From May 14 to 17, 2026, the 19th International Dance Festival-Competition “Aušrinė Star” will take place in various spaces of Šiauliai, annually bringing together dance enthusiasts and professionals from Lithuania and abroad.

The competition jury has been announced:

Vira Matviejeva (Ukraine) – choreographer and dance teacher. President of the non-governmental organization “Amateurs Dance Association”, director of festivals, competitions, and educational programmes for dancers and dance ensemble leaders, as well as a member of the UNESCO International Dance Council (CID-UNESCO).

Darius Berulis (Lithuania) – associate professor. Member of the Šeiko Dance Theatre and ballet dancer of the Klaipėda State Musical Theatre from 2014 to 2020. Head of the Dance Department at the Klaipėda Faculty of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre.

May Jean Teo (Malaysia) – ballerina, winner of the gold medal at the international dance competition “The Crown” in Melbourne, Australia, and soloist of the ballet troupe of the Kaunas State Musical Theatre.
