9:00 PM – “Geometry of Light”: a story told through rhythm, movement and visuals
A story of rhythm, movement and visuals portraying Šiauliai as a source of inner light – a city where memory and the present come together. At the heart of the event is continuous motion, brought to life by musicians and dancers, sound, light and visual-graphics artists, and the wider city community in search of the source of time and light. The story is told by multi-instrumentalist Saulius Petreikis, percussionist Gintautas Gascevičius and a rhythm group, electronic music creators “Happyendless”, the dance company of the State Ensemble “Lietuva”, and Šiauliai city arts groups. Programme: a Šiauliai Police display, a meet-and-greet with Amsius the dog, fingerprinting and other fun tasks; interactive educational activities by the Šiauliai Fire and Rescue Board, equipment demonstrations, presentation of prevention measures and the Young Firefighter course, and children’s competitions; demonstrations of equipment and weaponry used by the Lithuanian Armed Forces and interactive games; presentation of equipment and vehicles used by the Šiauliai Border Guard Post of the Pagėgiai Border Guard Unit, including a dog handler and service-dog demonstration; presentation of medical equipment and supplies by the Šiauliai branch of the Emergency Medical Service, including life-saving hands-on activities; and demonstrations of special equipment used by Šiauliai Prison in the correctional system, together with an introduction to the specifics of its work.

A festive open-air brunch filled with music and togetherness. The programme features performer Dovi Mi and “3 Divas”: Rūta Ščiogolevaitė, Vaida Genytė and Aistė Pilvelytė.
The organisers will provide tables, chairs and tablecloths. Guests are invited to bring their favourite food and drinks and decorate their table creatively. Everyone at the event will be able to vote for their favourite table, and the five most beautifully decorated tables will receive special prizes celebrating Šiauliai’s anniversary year.
